Rio the Janeiro Carnival
One of the biggest festivals, perhaps the best and most famous, is the carnival of Rio de Janeiro. The Carnival of Rio de Janeiro also known as Carnival of the Rio lasts 5 days, where the Cariocas begin the preparations and the celebrations many months before. The Sambadrome, which is the place in which they parade, sing, dance and present all the schools of samba of Rio and of Brazil in the carnival, is visited by the participants with long anticipation for structures their dances, to choose the music , practice and rehearse.
In addition to the organizers, dancers, samba goddesses, drummers and musicians who will participate directly in the carnival as part of the procession-show, Rio Cariocas join in different ways to them, organizing concerts in theatres, Esplanades, bars and coffee, motivating visitors to dress up, dance and form part of a whole conglomerate of colors, rhythms and flavors that invade the city for a month and explodes in the 5 days prior to Ash Wednesday.
Joining the bands is a way for you to add to the carnival in a very carioca style, musicians, drummers and some samberos, they go through the streets wasting music, while you go after them them on their journey through the main avenues, neighborhoods and Squares of Rio.
In the carnival of Rio de Janeiro attracts more than 300,000 visitors, it is celebrated in the month of February or March
The Carnival of Rio emerged as a result of several pagan rites that were given by the Rite of Spring. During the Middle Ages the festivities were much more savage and daring, despite the punishments that came to them. But not even the Inquisition could get rid of these festivities and, on the contrary, the Portuguese colonies incorporated into their celebrations elements such as Hindu beliefs and African rhythms.
I chose it because it attracted my attention because it is a beautiful and very large parade.
Well done!!!
